Pinkglow® pineapples are harvested at the peak of ripeness and are best eaten shortly after they are purchased.However, we understand you may want to store your pineapple for a few days or have leftovers to save for later. The best way to store your pineapple and how long it will last depends on it if whole or cut and the method that it is stored. So, to ensure top quality flavor and freshness, store your Pinkglow® as follows:
* Refrigerator up to 2 Days
* Counter / Pantry up to 3 days (do not place in direct sunlight)
* Wine Cellar up to 5 days
•Cut Pinkglow® Pieces:
* Refrigerator up to 7 days
* Freezer up to 1-3 months
For the longest shelf life without freezing, place your whole Pinkglow® in the refrigerator for 8-12 hours, then remove the top, bottom, and shell of your Pinkglow® and cut the flesh into spears or chunks (removing the core if desired). Place the cut pieces into a sealed food storage container and refrigerate for up to 7 days. If desired, the cut pieces can also be placed into freezer storage bags and frozen for 1-3 months. This is a great way to use your Pinkglow® for smoothies and recipes at a later time. You can also thinly slice your Pinkglow® and place in a food dehydrator for a delicious snack.
