PRIVATE EVENT FAQs

How do I plan an event?

After receiving your event request our staff will contact you and walk you through the process of planning your event, guiding you through each decision. The process is quick and easy. In fact, most events can be planned in under an hour!

How do I choose a menu?

We have created a list of menus that include recipes which have stood the test of time and are guaranteed to satisfy even the most discerning palate. You may choose from those menus or you may work with our chef to customize your own.

Who will lead the event?

The chef instructors are professional chefs who have been trained to be engaging and inspiring teachers and leaders. All have a culinary degree and at least five years of professional cooking experience. They will be present during your entire event, guiding, teaching and cooking alongside your guests. Our chefs focus on ensuring that all of our guests are made to feel completely at ease in our kitchens and that they leave inspired with new knowledge that they can really use at home.

What is included?

Your private event will include a full meal unless otherwise specified, recipes of the selected menu and aprons for your guests to take home if they desire.

What if some of my guests are “not into cooking cooking”?We hear this every so often and are prepared for the reluctant cook. Your guests may participate at whatever level they are comfortable with. We will encourage involvement, but your guests are welcome to simply visit, sip wine or relax should they choose.

Can we drink alcohol?

Yes. If everyone in your party is 21 years of age you may enjoy beer and wine during the event. Store policy is a limit of 2 adult beverages per person per class.

What if someone attending has a food allergy?

We can accommodate most dietary restrictions from vegetarian, gluten-free and allergy specifications. Simply let us know, and we will ensure that each and every guest is taken care of.

Can we take food home?

Only our baking events allow us to let guests take food away from the premises. Unfortunately, all other food products are prohibited by law.

What should I wear?

We recommend comfortable, casual clothing. If you have long hair it should be tied back and please do not wear open-toed shoes or sandals.

What if something else comes up?

You must call and notify the cooking school at least 72 hours in advance to cancel event and obtain a full refund. Anything less than 72 hours you may receive store credit towards future classes or private events.
